An Inventor's Guide to Patents and Patenting

Sample excerpt:

Each year, many inventors submit invention disclosures to STC, and many of these disclosures will eventually materialize into patents. However, new inventors may not understand the requirements that must be met for an invention to be patentable and the steps involved in obtaining a patent. With this information on the basics of patent law and the patenting process, these individuals will understand what is needed to obtain a patent and be better equipped to work with a patent attorney in preparing patent applications and prosecuting applications before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
