Background

A well-organized workplace leads to increased productivity. However, finding an organizational unit that fits the unique needs of all employees is next to impossible, and it would be very expensive for employers to buy customized units for each of them. Some users want desktop shelves to organize paperwork, while others need CD shelves and still others need organizers that lay flat to fit in a drawer. An adjustable, customizable, organizational unit would be ideal for these users.

Technology

Hand-EE-Shelves is an adjustable, customizable office organizer. The invention is made up of a box containing tracks that allow the shelves to be adjusted, while Thumb Screws tighten and hold the shelves into place, once in the desired position. The screws and tracks allow for the adjustment of inclination and vertical positioning. With the addition of the aluminum base, the shelves can achieve inclined vertical or horizontal positions. The base can be removed and used as a file holder or picture frame if the shelves are used in a drawer and do not need it. The shelves are designed for desktop use, but are sized to fit sideways inside a standard 12-inch drawer as well.

The Hand-EE-Shelves can be used in the following ways:
•Vertically with or without the base accessory
•Horizontally with or without base accessory
•Flat position with base accessory used as a file holder
•Flat position for use in a drawer
